Catholic Identity

Our Catholic faith is at the heart of everything we do at St. Mark.

We begin our day with a daily reading and prayer.  Not only do our students receive a religion class every day, but we also integrate our faith into all our subjects through assignments and our Education in Virtue program.  We pray a blessing before lunch and a prayer of thanksgiving after lunch.  We pray the Angelus every day at a designated time, with the only exception during Lent, when we pray the Regina Caeli.  At the end of the day, we pray the Act of Contrition.

Our entire student body attends Mass once per week as a school and is encouraged to participate either as an altar server, a lector, an usher, or in our music program.

We partner with St. Mark Catholic Church for our students' sacramental preparation and offer countless opportunities for students to live out their faith throughout each school day.  Our middle school is partnered with our Kindergarten through 2nd graders, offering them mentorship in their faith journeys.

As Catholics, we believe in the Real Presence of Jesus in the Eucharist and to reinforce that belief as well as ask for God's grace for our school community, we offer Eucharistic adoration twice per month in our chapel during the school day.  On those specific days, students are assigned adoration time throughout the day, so Jesus is never left alone.

We rejoice in teaching our students that our faith is not something we just do on Sundays but is something to be lived in our daily lives and integrated into every part of who we are.
