When Can I Apply For Next Year?
Priority admissions typically begin in November and continue through the end of January. Afterwards, rolling admissions begin. To apply, please click here to be redirected to the MACS admissions website. There you can also find the most current dates regarding admissions and begin your application.
What Age May Children Start Kindergarten?
Children must be five years on or before August 31.
Does The School Provide Transportation Or Bus Service To/From School?

What Is The Maximum Class Size?
Maximum class size for kindergarten is 25. Maximum class size for 1st and 2nd grades is 27. Maximum class size for 3rd through 8th grades is 30. Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grades all have teachers and teacher assistants in each class. 3rd through 5th grades have teachers in each class, along with a floating teacher assistant in each grade.
Are The Teachers Certified?
Yes, and they participate in professional development and continuing education each year.
Is St. Mark Accredited?
Yes, St. Mark is accredited through Lumen Accreditation.
How Often Do Children Go To Mass?
There is an all-school Mass every week.
Can Parents Volunteer At St. Mark?
Of course! We have numerous opportunities for parents to volunteer in our school. Before volunteering, you must pass a background check and receive safe environment training. Please connect with our PTO to find specific volunteer opportunities at our school.
How Are Lunches Handled?
A hot lunch is available for purchase each day, with one-week advance ordering. Lunch times are as follows:
10:34 – 11:19 Kindergarten – 2nd grade
11:21 – 12:06 6th – 8th grades
12:08 – 12:53 3rd – 5th grades
Recess takes place on the field and playground after lunch periods.

Do Students Take Standardized Tests And When Are They Taken?
Students primarily take the TerraNova Test. The TerraNova test is a series of standardized achievement tests used in the United States designed to assess K-12 student achievement in reading, language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, vocabulary, spelling, and other areas. The test is given 1 time and takes approximately 1 week to administer. It is typically given in early October.
