School Leadership Council

St. Mark Catholic School is established to carry out the teaching ministry of the Catholic Church by serving as a vehicle for evangelization and formation and to assist parents as the primary educators of their children.  As such, the religious and educational work efforts shall at all times be in accordance with the teachings and laws of the Roman Catholic Church and the Diocese. The School Leadership Council (SLC) is established to further the advancement of excellence in Catholic school education for students at St. Mark Catholic School, by providing leadership, direction, and support.

To create greater communion among all members of the school requires regular and open communication, and an understanding of each member's essential function to the mission of Catholic education and to those families and students that we serve.  Just as a Parish Pastoral Council serves with the Pastor on behalf of the total parish community, so too, the SLC serves with the Principal for the good of the school community in an advisory capacity.

SLC members commit to serve for 3 years.

Current St. Mark School Leadership Council:

Chairperson:  Emily Chuma

Principal:  Julie Thornley

Chaplain:  Fr. Martinez

Members:  Pat Gorman, Charlie Murphy, Jenn Tarantino (PTO representative), Greg Davidowitz, Chris Ostrom, Amy Miano
