Faith and Spirituality Committee

The Faith and Spirituality Committee includes the following:

Catholic Schools Week
Volunteers organize a week-long, annual celebration of Catholic Schools. Activities include speakers, loose-change drive, luncheons, bingo, games, service projects, and an all-school Mass.

School Walk for Diabetes
Volunteers organize and run this annual, service project that is an educational, fundraiser for the American Diabetes Association. In addition to walking laps, children learn the value of good nutrition and exercise, while raising funds to support summer camps for children with diabetes. Last year, St. Mark raised over $35,500 to take 1st place in the Southeast United States and 2nd place in the nation! In addition, $2,625 was donated to a Catholic school affected by Hurricane Katrina to purchase new P.E. equipment.

Faith Enrichment
Volunteers serve to facilitate bringing our Catholic faith alive for our students, staff and parents. Activities include Saint bulletin boards, the Living Rosary, Living Stations of the cross, special Saint day celebrations and more. Come help us shine His lights!

Helping Hands
Volunteers are devoted to providing help and support to those families at St. Mark who may be in need due to sickness, the loss of a loved one, the birth of a new child, and events that may require helping hands. Assistance may take the form of meal preparations, carpool assistance, play dates, etc.

Parents In Prayer
Volunteers meet weekly to pray for the intentions of the students, families and faculty of St. Mark.

Service Project Coordinator
Volunteers assist the teachers and parents in the coordination and organization of grade-sponsored service projects, as well as research and offer options for potential new endeavors.

St. Mark Feast Day
Volunteers organize a school-wide celebration on April 25 to honor our patron Saint.
