Sixth Grade Newsletter

Welcome to Sixth Grade!
On behalf of the entire sixth grade team, we look forward to an exciting and challenging year with our students.

Class News
    Please join us on September 4th at 7:00pm for Back to School night.  There will be a 6th grade parent meeting immediately following the general meeting in room 138 to discuss 6th grade curriculum, expectations and the upcoming retreat.  This is also an opportunity to meet with teachers to discuss any specific questions that you may have.

 Reminders

• Early dismissal students should be picked up prior to 2:20.  After this time you will have to wait for your child to be dismissed at the regular time.  Please send a note to your homeroom teacher and arrange for early pickup.
• Lunch menus will be sent every Thursday.  Please return orders by Tuesday. Please note that lunch order forms are now available on the St. Mark website. 
• Middle school students are required to change into their gym shirts on PE days.  They should not be worn to and from school.
• School volunteers and chaperones are required to complete the Virtus program Protecting God’s Children.  Please reference Virtus.org for more information.
• Dress code:  As the mornings grow cooler, please remind your student that only approved sweatshirts are to be worn while in the classroom.  Also, hair should not be below the eyebrows.  Please refer to the St. Mark handbook available online at www.stmarkcatholicschool.net.
• Field trip forms for Camp Thunderbird are due on Friday, September 5, 2008.

We wish to thank Mrs. Corradi (6B), Mrs. Sabido (6A), and Mrs. Crowell (6C) for volunteering to be our new room parents for the year!
